It could happen to you
I have visited thousands of websites since 2005 when I first got the idea to start creating websites for others.· I found good ideas of what a church of Christ website should have on it. BUT I also found many bad things.· From websites that haven't been updated since 1998 to·NO website at all, even though Google still listed it right alongside the churches information.· One of the worst of these is pictured here.· What could have happened?· Did the church disband, did they have a split?· I am afraid it is probably not that critical.· It was simply that the person who felt personally that the church should have a website just moved.· Or the leaders decided that the website was no longer in their budget.· But when someone is trying to find out about your Congregation, maybe a family relocating to your neighborhood (especially a brother), and they find such a site, what do you think will happen?·
The congregation I attend is near the Nations Capital, and many of our membership are either in the Government, Government related businesses or the Military.· I have talked to many and asked them why they came to our congregation, and well over half found our website and it caused them to come to a service.· That first step is very important!· Many a church leader and Shepherd have come to realize this.·
I have designed my service to be 3 things:
- A very functional, good looking, and expandable website.
- An economical value that many individuals can put in their budget, and only worry about once a year.
- A trouble free, easy to use, updatable without paying someone website.
I have visited other brotherhood services, and none of them offer all three of these things.· I think that if you have the budget, then you should pay someone their worth for any of these other sites, but I wanted to make it easier.· You don't have to pay a designer, then find a host and make sure you pay them every month, or 3 years at a time, and then find a domain name registrar.·
I provide all of this with every package I present.
